Logging in to Omeka
Omeka is is a web publishing platform for creating online exhibits. Special Collections uses a hosted instance of Omeka.net for student curated digital exhibits. Login here:
Kara Flynn (kf025@uark.edu) manages the Special Collections Omeka.net account. To obtain a username and password, contact Kara.
Navigating Omeka.Net
After logging in, you will see the Omeka site dashboard. Click on manage site under uarkstudentexhibits.omeka.net. This will open the Omeka dashboard.
There are two types of content you will need to create: an exhibit and items.Items are the individual objects you select to include in your exhibit. An exhibit will contain many items. Use the navigation panel on the left side of the dashboard to access both the items and exhibit sections of Omeka.
