Links to lists of books for English Language Learners

Some English-language learners find reading novels and short stories a great way to get familiar with English language usage. Novels and fiction can provide examples of everyday speech and language patterns. Try some of these suggested books.

Finding books in the University of Arkansas Libraries

To find books listed on any of the lists above, type the title of book in the OneSearch box below.

For example, if you are looking for the book To Kill a Mockingbird, type that into the search box and select Title underneath the box to search for that specific title.

Some books will be here in Mullins Library, some will be in electronic form (ebooks), and some may be housed in the Library Annex. Those in the Annex will need to be requested. See this FAQ for instructions on how to request an item from the Annex. https://uark.libanswers.com/faq/235202.
