Chemistry and Biochemistry Resources

This guide provides resources necessary for instruction and research in chemistry and biochemistry

Standards/Methods/Protocols

Wiley's Current Protocols contain 12,000 protocols across 14 subject areas. The Libraries offer access to some of the protocols (below). Use Interlibrary Loan to order those that are not available.

Searching tip: To find "DNA sequencing by the dideoxy method,"  select the Advanced Search. In the Publications Field enter current protocols and then enter  dna and dideoxy in the All Fields.

Springer Protocols are reproducible laboratory protocols for Life and Biomedical Sciences. The Libraries offer some of the protocols in the print and in the electronic form (below). The protocols that are not available through the University Libraries may be ordered through Interlibrary Loan.

An introductory video on Springer Protocols is available here.

Identify standards that you need by using the following databases:

Some of these standards are available through the Library Catalog. Others may be ordered through Interlibrary Loan

You may want to consult with the Chemistry Librarian, Luti Salisbury (lsalisbu@uark.edu), CHEM 228, before ordering standards as there may be alternative sources of information to help with your question.
