Writing and Publishing: Resources for Researchers and Scholars

This guide is brought to you by the Office of Scholarly Communications, where our goal is to help you reach yours.

Empowered Workshop Overview

Success as a professional requires both developing your expertise and building your reputation as an expert. In this series of action-oriented workshops, you will learn strategies that apply to academia, business, industry, and the caring professions:

  • map your immediate and long-term goals
  • discover multiple angles of your expertise
  • join professional communities
  • learn how to “get published”
  • start building your professional reputation

Get answers to your questions. Design your own strategic plan for success.  And feel confident about taking the next step toward your goals.

Graduate students from all disciplines – STEM, the social sciences, the humanities, education, agriculture, and every other specialty – are welcome. You can attend just one of these workshops, but the more you attend, the more you will benefit.
