Welcome, Transfer Students!

Welcome to the University of Arkansas! This guide is meant to point you in the right direction: with the library, your academics, and in your personal wellness while you are a transfer freshman or new transfer student here. And remember, if you need help with something that you don't see listed on this guide, you can always ask a librarian.

Transfer Freshman vs. New Transfer Students

Are you a Transfer Freshman or a New Transfer Student at University of Arkansas? A transfer freshman is any student who has less than 24 transferable college credit hours after completing high school or earning a GED. A new transfer is any student with more than 24 transferable college credit hours earned after completing high school or earning a GED. Regardless of your status, we're glad you're here!

Ready to Apply for Admission?

If you haven't applied to be a transfer student yet, we recommend starting on the Transfer Student Homepage
