Find books, handbooks, dictionaries and government documents, in print and electronic, with the Libraries' catalog. The catalog will also list what journals or magazines we own, and there is a list of electronic journals from A-Z here.
Use databases, linked below, such as Agricola, CAB Abstracts, Academic Search Complete, Scifinder, and Web of Science to find articles in journals; these are a good source of current research and trends.
Dictionaries and handbooks are sources for discrete facts and definitions, like the boiling point of a compound or the scientific name or common name of a plant.
Books often give good overviews and background on topics. They usually give a broader, more complete view of a subject, or a very detailed and in depth look at a smaller subject.
