Although better known as a major database of major journals in full text, JSTOR is also a rich repository of images from hundreds of collections. The collections are multidisciplinary, with a focus on the visual arts. These images can be searched, as well as stored and shared, via a personal account in JSTOR. Images can be presented both offline and online.
Please note: JSTOR is part of the nonprofit organization ITHAKA, which also oversaw Artstor. ITHAKA moved the images from Artstor to JSTOR and retired the former as a separate database in mid-2024.
Specific information about images in JSTOR is available on the various pages of this guide.
