Information and Links for Open Education and Open Educational Resources

"Open Education encompasses resources, tools and practices that are free of legal, financial and technical barriers and can be fully used, shared and adapted in the digital environment."(SPARC)

What are Open Educational Resources?

Open Educational Resources (OER) promote the use of textbooks and other materials for free or at a minimal charge. By collaborating to create high-quality shared texts, the academic community can dramatically lower the cost of textbooks and class materials for the students they teach.
