Michael Gibbs (mgibbs@walton.uark.edu) is the Associate Director of Enterprise Systems and an Instructor of Information Systems (ERP)  in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He earned his Master of Information Systems degree in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2014, both at the University of Arkansas. Michael is passionate about teaching, and believes that the Carpentries workshops helps to empower those who seek to do more in their research, do more in their data analysis tasks, and do more in a world that is increasingly reliant on data-driven decisions.

Adam Hughes (jahughes@uark.edu) is currently a Research Data Facilitator at UITS. He studied Space and Planetary Sciences in Fayetteville and Physics at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. Adam is passionate about the research based teaching methodology the Carpentries has adopted and their focus on the foundations of data management, open source software, and reproducible research.

Lora Lennertz  (lennertz@uark.edu) is  the Data Services Librarian and a Professor at the University of Arkansas Libraries. She has a Master degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Information Systems from Sam W. Walton School of Business. Her research areas revolve around project management, open data, data management, copyright and Creative Commons licensing.

Mary Leverance (mleveran@uark.edu) is the Preservation and Conservation Coordinator for the University of Arkansas Libraries and the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies (CAST). She earned a Master of Science in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Arizona State University. Her areas of interest are sustainability in conservation, GIS and archival collections, and user accessibility.

Stephanie Pierce (sjpierce@uark.edu) is the Director of the Physics Library and Acting Director of User Services at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. In addition to managing a branch library and a main service point, she serves on the Open Educational Resources Team to promote and advocate participation in open education on campus.
