A Clarivate Web of Science ResearcherID is a unique identifier that connects an author to works in the Web of Science ecosystem. A ResearcherID is minted for every author with at least one publication indexed in the Web of Science. Researchers can use this ID to claim their scholarly works and track their research impact by times cited and research index number (H-index).
The ResearcherID has gone through a number of changes. It is integrated with another sister product called Publons; however, it is recommended that you start your ResearcherID in Web of Science.
How to check if you have a ResearcherID -
1. Sign into Web of Science (the same login will work with all Clarivate Web of Science products.
2. Go to the Researchers tab on the Web of Science entry page
3. Enter your name in the search box. If you have entries directly from web of science you will see your account.
4. Edit or make your ResearcherID by clicking on the Publons link and logging in with your Clarivate Web of Science ID. You may also create an ID directly on publons.com.
