Dryad: The University of Arkansas Data Repository

This guide will provide information on our data repository system as well as guidelines for community use

Step #1 - Logging into Dryad

Dryad requires an ORCID ID for login. If you do not have an ORCID, you will have the opportunity to create a free, unique, identifier for yourself at the login page. Dryad uses ORCID to authenticate each individual researcher regardless method for entering Dryad (i.e. through the website, through the API, through a journal integration, etc.). When datasets are published, they should appear in your ORCID profile along with articles and other works.

Enter your ORCID ID or email address and your ORCID password and click the "Sign into ORCID" button. If you do not have an ORCID ID, you can click the "Register Now" link to sign up. Click the "Authorize" button to connect your ORCID ID to your Dryad account. In the future, you will be able to login to Dryad using only your ORCID ID and password.

Connecting to the University of Arkansas

Dryad requires a second form of authentication at login for campus single-sign-on. This authentication only needs to occur the first time you enter your account,  After you have logged in with your institutional credentials, Dryad ties together your ORCID and institutional affiliation so that you will not have to include this information a second time.

  1. Choose University of Arkansas from the drop-down menu under the "Your Institution may be a member of Dryad" heading. Click the "Login to verify" button.
  2. Login with your UARK ID and password. Click the "Accept" button to connect your Dryad account with the University of Arkansas institutional membership. You will not need to perform this login in the future.
  3. You can click on the "Start New Dataset" to begin submitting your dataset.
