Special Collections holds two archives related to family history and plantations of James Hines and Amanda Beardsley Trulock. The collections hold substantial amounts of correspondence related to their agricultural pursuits and various homesteads in several places across the antebellum South. The first collection consists of facsimiles of letters and the second collection includes original letters, business papers, and other documents donated to the University Libraries in 2012.
