Samuel C. Dellinger (1892-1973) was professor of zoology at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville (chairman of the department 1922-1957), as well as "curator" (director) of the University Museum, 1925-1960. He was also involved in anthropology, a member of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and a conservation activist. This collection includes correspondence, financial records, examinations, lecture notes, articles, notebooks, clippings, and photographs.

Kenneth L. Smith was an engineer and environmentalist who campaigned for the conservation of the Buffalo River, including writing a book titled The Buffalo River Country. This collection contains materials concerning the preservation of the Buffalo, Cossatot, and Eleven Point rivers put forth by the Ozark Society, the Arkansas Conservation Council, the Arkansas Nature Conservancy, and the Federated Garden Clubs of Arkansas. The materials in the collection include announcements, statements, correspondence, newspapers and clippings, magazine articles, booklets, flyers, and maps.

Gus Albright was an Arkansas Gazette sports columnist. The collection includes 2 scrapbooks Albright created two scrapbooks with newspaper clippings, letters, maps, and other papers, pertaining to the controversy over development of the Buffalo River in the northern part of Arkansas.

Carol Griffee worked as a reporter, photographer, and editor for various newspapers and was known for her work on the Arkansas environment and politics. Collection materials include correspondence and manuscript drafts for for "A History of Arkansas Wildlife."
