About This Guide

Welcome to the program!

This guide is intended to help you find the proper resources to assist you with your course work. Whether you are a distant student taking online classes or on campus, this is your one-stop shop for quality information. Choose the appropriate tab to find what you need.

For more assistance or to set up a consultation with the Engineering Librarian, Jay McAllister, or send him an email.  He is available via Skype for distance students and faculty.

Access Options for Faculty

Names of full-time faculty and staff should be loaded directly into our library authentication system from the UAConnect database.  If you need help confirming that you are in the database of current students, faculty, and staff, you can contact us at (479) 575-4104 (local), (866) 818-8115 (toll-free), or send us an email.

If you are officially paid as a part-time hourly employee or faculty member, you will need to register for affiliate status to use our resources remotely.  Affiliated faculty may use their last name and nine-digit University ID number to log into their library account or into databases and electronic resources.  To enable remote access -- print out and complete our Application for Circulation Privileges (PDF) form. Please include a copy of a photo ID, such as a state-issued driver's license, and mail the form to:

Circulation Desk Supervisor
University of Arkansas Libraries
365 N. McIlroy Ave.
Fayetteville, AR 72701-4002

Or fax to:

Access Options for Students

Registered students have remote access to resources licensed by the University of Arkansas Libraries.  These resources can be accessed using your own service provider through our web pages and will require authentication.

Remote access is available to students enrolled during the semester or registered for the next semester.  Our licensing agreements do not allow us to provide access to students not actively enrolled.

Resources You Should Know and Use

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Department will deliver library materials such as books to University of Arkansas students, faculty, and staff. RazorRush Document Delivery Service

Upon request, library staff will retrieve, scan and electronically deliver articles from print periodicals in the collection of the University of Arkansas Libraries. Library staff will also scan and deliver journal articles that are held in microfiche or microfilm formats. This service is available to all University of Arkansas students, faculty, and staff.
