Citing ScholarWorks

ScholarWorks provides a suggested citation for each work within the repository.  These citations should be edited to meet the style format that is required for your work.

I. Previously published papers — Publisher versions as attached pdfs

Posted here with the publisher’s permission or because the document is in the public domain

Cite the original publication—journal, volume, date, page numbers, doi, etc.-- as represented in the sample citation.

II. Previously published papers provided through links

We are continuously updating our repository.  At this time, there are a number of articles that may be obtained through links to other locations.  Please use the citation information provided by the linking source AND NOT use the citation within ScholarWorks unless the citation references the original source.

Cite the original publication—journal, volume, date, page numbers, doi, etc.

III. Original materials not previously published elsewhere

Cite author, title, series title, date, etc. The “publisher” is ScholarWorks@UARK and in most styles can be identified through the "retrieved from" link.
