New Resource: Brill's New Pauly: Encyclopedia of the Ancient World

Brill's New Pauly cover image

The Libraries have added online access to Brill's New Pauly Online. This translation of the modern German encyclopedia offers scholarly articles on  Greco-Roman culture and its influence on modern world history. Brill's New Pauly is in two series:  v1-15 offers alphabetical coverage of the ancient world while the second series, v.1-4, offers articles on the legacy and reception of classical ideas and culture. Entries are updated with new bibliographies and a number of maps, illustrations, and charts.  This is a great place to start your research on the ancient Mediterranean.
