In order to prepare for Mullins Renovation Phase 2, all microforms have been to remote locations. This includes our Arkansas Newspaper collection.
While we update catalog records in OneSearch, please refer to the working spreadsheet below for details of our holdings.
OneSearch, the Libraries' new search engine, does offer newspaper articles as well as records for newspaper titles in our collections. You will find current and historical articles from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Times of London, and hundreds of other papers in OneSearch.
But do be aware that OneSearch does not include articles from some papers, including the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. For comprehensive coverage, be sure to check our newspaper databases.
NewspaperArchive.com frequently posts tips on conducting research in historical newspapers. Here are some recent posts:
The Libraries have recently added PDF page images for recent issues of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (2017- present) and Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (2021 - present).
Full page images give you more of the flavor of the printed paper, showing the relative placement of articles on the page, advertisements and photographs, and relative size of headlines. While the text version of the paper only includes articles written by Democrat-Gazette staff and omits wire stories or syndicated features, the page image shows all content. Because the PDF of the current day's paper is usually posted the same day, you can bookmark our link to read your daily news.
Thanks to the Associated Student Government's Newspaper Readership Program, the campus has currently daily access the New York Times. See below for details about each of the Times versions available to you.
