Wageningen Academic is an international publisher focusing on animal and veterinary science, food and health, agribusiness and rural studies, and agriculture and environment.

Wageningen Academic is part of Brill and content is transitioning to that platform. 

The Libraries provide access to Wageningen e-books in two ways:

  • through perpetual purchase covering titles published 2002-2023.
  • as open access titles, particularly published conference proceedings

Where can I find them?

Most are in OneSearch.

How many simultaneous users?

Titles are licensed for unlimited users.

Do I need a special account?

No. You can create an individual account to save items online.

Are there download or print limits?

Through the online reader, you can print or save up to 10 pages at a time.  Some books allow for download of the entire volume.

Can I read offline?

Some books allow for download of the entire volume in PDF format.

Is special software needed?

No.

How long may I check a book out to read offline?

Portions of books or some entire books downloaded to your device are available indefinitely.

Linking for Classroom Use

The site allows multiple users to read the e-book at a time.

All books published between 2002 and 2023 should be available for your classes.

To make a link to a specific book, use the permalink option in OneSearch.  . 

For books published after 2023, check with Course Reserves if you want the Libraries to obtain permanent access for your class or complete the request purchase form if you would like the book to be permanently added to to the collection for use outside of course assignments.
