We hope that you enjoy your work experience, while learning valuable information about our library's processes and procedures. This guide has been crafted so that you are informed about our department, your job duties and our expectations, and to provide you general information about working in Mullins Library and for the University of Arkansas.

Listed below are some helpful tips for having a successful work experience here at Mullins library.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Take pride in your job and what you accomplish and learn.
  • Be kind and cooperative with other library and library users.
  • Respect the rights and property of others.
  • Come to your job ready to work and learn. Ask questions when you don't understand or you don't know the answer to library procedures, rules and regulations. It's always better to ask for help than to misinform library users or do a task incorrectly.
  • Communicate with your supervisor on absences, schedule changes, and job expectations and assignments.
  • Follow your supervisor's verbal and written instructions.
  • Follow your work schedule consistently.
  • Be on time.
  • Complete all of your tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
