The purpose of this organization is to provide supportive, social, educational, outreach, and community events, activities and opportunities for students at the University of Arkansas who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and straight allies.

The goals of this program are to foster mentoring relationships between students and faculty/staff that offer support, guidance and resources to LGBTQ-plus students at the U of A and to expose students to the diverse out-of-classroom lives of adult LGBTQ-plus members of the U of A community. Graduate students can be either mentors or mentees, depending on their needs and experiences.

All University of Arkansas faculty, staff and administrators are invited to join the monthly Queer Beers LGBTQA Happy Hour. Attendees do not need to identify as LGBTQ to participate — all queer folk, partners, friends and allies are welcome. The goal of the happy hour is to build a more visible community and network among faculty, staff and administration as well as provide social support. Not affiliated with the University of Arkansas directly, but this group is run by UArk alum Brody Parrish Craig. A great project desgined to create a platform for transgender, non-binary & gender non-conforming writers/artists from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri & Kansas to showcase their art with one another & the broader community.
