Aeon: Information for Staff

This guide provides workflows for staff as they use Aeon in Special Collections.

What is Aeon?

Aeon is a special collections circulation and management system created by Atlas Systems. The University of Arkansas Libraries Special Collections licenses Aeon from Atlas, including hosting and maintenance services.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support

Routine Technical Support:

For issues related to your staff client, password, patrons, and workflows, contact:

  • Primary Aeon administrator: Melanie Griffin

Emergency Technical Support:

If you notice Aeon web pages are down or you are unable to login using OpenAthens credentials, contact Atlas and copy Melanie as soon as possible:

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm ET: email support@atlas-sys.com.
  • After-hours and weekends: email emergency@atlas-sys.com.
  • Copy Melanie (melanieg@uark.edu) on all communications to support@atlas-sys.com and emergency@atlas-sys.com.
