StaffGuide: Aeon Information for Staff

This guide provides workflows for staff as they use Aeon in Special Collections.

Checking LINX Status

A location of STOR [STOR: LINX] in ArchivesSpace indicates that the top container is stored at LINX.

Neither ArchivesSpace or Aeon includes circulation availability for containers stored at LINX. To determine if containers are at LINX or have been requested by another user or staff member, search for the barcode in Caiasoft. A status of accessed in Caiasoft indicates that a container is available for request from LINX.A status of accessed/pyr or accessed/ship in Caiasoft indicates that a container has already been requested and is not currently available for request from LINX.

After confirming that the top container is stored at LINX and is available for requesting, return to the Aeon request and add "sc" in the delivery stop and "STOR" in offsite location. Save the record, and then route to the appropriate awaiting retrieval from LINX queue.
