Aeon requests generated from the ArchivesSpace public user interface do not include location information for the top container. One option for locating location information is to use the ArchivesSpace addon in the Aeon staff client.

These instructions assume that the ArchivesSpace addon is installed in the Aeon staff client. Refer to the instructions on installing the addon if needed:

Open the request in the Aeon staff client and click on the ArchivesSpace tab.

If the Addon is not logged in, click the login button and then click the binoculars above title or call number. If the Addon is already logged in, the search should automatically populate. Click the view button in the search results.

Identify and click on the record for the material that has been requested. When the file record has loaded completely, click import instance.

This action will import additional information from the ArchivesSpace record into the Aeon request, including the top container location. Ensure that all changes to the Aeon record are saved before processing the request.
