Depending on local settings, users may receive an error message that they do not have permission to write to the selected folders when installing the client. To solve this error, save the affected file(s) to your desktop and then proceed with the instructions.
"An error occurred while loading the main form": This error message indicates you are not using a campus IP address. If you are off campus or working on campus over a wireless network, exit Aeon and login via the GlobalProtect VPN client. If you are connected to VPN and still receive this error, try disconnecting and reconnecting. Ensure that your GlobalProtect client is up-to-date.
"An error occurred while loading the main form: A nework-related or instance-specific error occurred while established a connection to SQL Server." To resolve this error, close out of the Aeon client, disconnect from VPN, reconnect to VPN, and log back in to the Aeon client.
Five minutes after submitting a request for materials from LINX in Aeon, check the request queue to make sure that the request went to a "Request Received by LINX" queue and did not error out. If the request could not be processed due to an error, open the request to troubleshoot. Expand the notes section at the bottom left of the request screen for more information on the specific error. Note that if there are multiple errors, Aeon only displays the first error it encounters.
**Tip: if you cannot see the portion of the screen containing details on the error messages, make sure you expand the Aeon request window to full size.
