Information about LibGuides authors appears in a Profile Box and in an extended Profile Page.
Edit your Profile Box or Page by logging into LibApps ior chaging to LibApps from LibGuides then choose My Profile in the top orange menu bar.
By default your Profile Box appears on your main profile page. It includes your title, an image, contact information, a list of the subject areas you cover, and other information.
Best practice: Your profile box should appear on the main page of any Research Guide you author.
Edit your Profile Box in the main LibApps dashboard by clicking My Profile on the orange menu bar.
This can be your title (i.e. Communication Librarian) or something generic like "Reference Librarian". Whatever it is, keep it short so that it fits in the narrow column.
Upload an image of yourself from your computer.
Best Practice:
Recommended ratio is 2:3 or at least 200 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall. Be careful about the file size.
Head shots are preferred but not required.

No surprises here. You can choose to show contact info on your box, your profile page, or both.
Include your Skype address or website / blog address if you have those and wish to use them to communicate with students.
Include the social media platforms that you wish to use in interacting with students (optional).
You can also input the Libraries' Social Media services:
If you have a LibraryThing, GoodReads, or Shelfari account that you wish to share with students, you can enter those details here. This will be a URL to your profile on those sites (not a widget).
Use the library-wide Chat with a Librarian box on the AAASearch Boxes and Widgets Guide.
Remember that more than one chat box on a page can break Research Guides.

When a guide is transferred from one owner to another, the Profile Box will display the new guide owner's profile, but may have a box title that doesn't match.
