Joint Publications Research Service (JPRS)

About

JPRS, part of the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS), translated and abstracted foreign language political and technical media for federal agencies. Most JPRS reports were concerned with publications from communist countries. About half the reports were in scientific and technical fields. The Libraries' fiche collection includes materials published 1979 - 1984. JPRS reports ceased to be delivered to depository libraries in 1996.

JPRS Reports are available through subscription from NewsBank.  The Libraries do not have a current subscription to this service.
