This title represents a partial continuation of the English plays from the microcard title, English and American Drama of the Nineteenth Century, which was issued until 1985. Every available play written during the 19th century has been included. The total collection includes copies of more than 23,000 plays, including manuscripts, acting editions, and definitive published editions.
