The Digital Services Department will supply the identifier for each object in the project metadata spreadsheet(s). For file-naming conventions for Special Collections, each digitized item will have a unique file name that follows established naming conventions. Additionally, the file name may include one or two descriptive words to identify the item (run-on words without spaces). MC#Series#Box#File#Image#DescriptiveWords (for items from manuscript collections) Call number#DescriptiveWords (for items scanned from books) IMG#DescriptiveWords (for items from photograph collections) Do not customize the CONTENTdm field name; the hasMedia script for audio and video is dependent on finding the field nickname “identi.” |
