Multiple References
- From a search results list mark the records you wish to save.
- When ready to view / export your saved records, click the More menu then My Folder on the top menu bar.
- Choose Citation Tools from the right menu.
- Choose Export to.. EndNote from the bottom drop-down menu.
- Your file will be saved as a citation.ris file.
- Log into EndNote, if you are not already logged in.
- Under the Collect tab, select Import References.
- Click Browse to locate and attach the saved file. Under filter, select RefMan RIS, select the group where you would like the citation to be placed, then hit Import.
- Your references should be automatically imported into your account
Single Reference
- From a single record / detailed record view, choose Citation Tools from the right menu.
- Choose Export to.. EndNote from the bottom drop-down menu.
- Your file will be saved as a citation.ris file.
- Log into EndNote, if you are not already logged in.
- Under the Collect tab, select Import References.
- Click Browse to locate and attach the saved file. Under filter, select RefMan RIS, select the group where you would like the citation to be placed, then hit Import.
- Your reference should be automatically imported into your account

Single Reference
- View the full record for an article you wish to save.
- Choose the CITE or Citation Tools Icon on the top menu bar.
- A new window will open.
- Under the options for "Export to third-party software, choose EndNote and click Export.
- Your file will be saved as an *.ris file.
- Log into EndNote, if you are not already logged in.
- Under the Collect tab, select Import References.
- Click Browse to locate and attach the saved file. Under filter, select RefMan RIS, select the group where you would like the citation to be placed, then hit Import.
- Your reference should be automatically imported into your account
Multiple References (selected databases)
- Mark the items you wish to save in a results list by checking boxes.
- When you are ready to export, clicked the MARKED ITEMS tab on the upper menu.
- Look for a Citation Tools icon on the upper right.
- Under the options for "Export to third-party software, choose EndNote and click Export.
- Your file will be saved as an *.ris file.
