- Search for the record(s) you wish to export.
- Select the record(s) by clicking the checkbox(es) to the left of the record(s).
- At the top of the results:
- From the Batch Download drop-down menu, select Citations (EndNote) .
- Then, click the Retrieve Marked link.
- On the next page, copy the text from the screen and paste the text into Notepad.
- Save the file as a .TXT file.
- Log in to EndNote.
- Under the Collect tab, select Import References.
- Click Browse to locate the saved file.
- From the Import Option drop-down menu, select EndNote Import .
- From the To drop-down menu, select the group where you would like the record to be placed.
- Finally, click Import .

Multiple Citations from a List
- Search for the record(s) you wish to export.
- Select the record(s) to export by clicking the folder + icon.
- When you are ready to export the records, Click the folder icon at the top of the page.
- Select the record(s) to export by clicking the checkbox(es) to the left of the each record.
- On the next screen, click Export on the right.
- On the last screen, select Direct Export to EndNote Web on the right.
- Finally, click Save on the left.
- You will be prompted to log in to your EndNote account.
- Your references will be imported.
Single Reference
- Search for the record(s) you wish to export.
- To view a record, click its title.
- Click Export on the right.
- Select Direct Export to EndNote Web on the right; then, click Save.
- You will be prompted to log in to your EndNote account.
- Your reference will be imported.
