EndNote Exporting and Importing Instructions

Help with exporting citations from library databases into your EndNote account.

REAXYS

  1. Conduct a search in Reaxys.
  2. Pick a section and click View Results on the right.
    1. Select the record(s) by clicking the checkbox(es) to the left of the record(s).
    2. Above the results, click Export .
    3. If prompted, login with your Reaxys credentials.
    4. In the Export .. Reaxys pop-up:
      1. From the Choose a format drop-down menu, select Literature Management Systems .
      2. Then, click Export on the bottom right.
      3. This pop-up will close.
    5. Find the Exports pop-up on the bottom right of the results page.
      1. Click Download .
      2. If prompted, save the file; it will have an .RIS extension.
  3. Log in to EndNote.
    1. Under the Collect tab, select Import References.
    2. Click Browse to locate the saved file.
    3. From the Import Option drop-down menu, select RefMan RIS .
    4. From the To drop-down menu, select the group where you would like the record to be placed.
    5. Finally, click Import .
