Processing--Lost Items / Searches

Library Wide Search conducted by the User Services Stacks Specialist:

  • When all search methods are exhausted in the Serials Department and we have tried to locate an item 2 times (Search 1x/month), it is time to have the User Services Stacks Specialist conduct a thorough Library wide Search. This search will usually last for a year then if not found, a decision will be sent to the subject selector to replace or officially withdraw. Keep in mind that we do not complete the Search Procedure with missing 2nd copies.
    • The User Services Stacks Specialist is responsible for handling all Library Search Requests.
  • Email the User Services Stacks Specialist the item record number, title, volume field, barcode (if applicable).
